Dr. Phillips is located in Orange County, Florida most commonly known as a suburb of Orlando. Dr.Philip Phillips was among Orlando's first millionaire families, a pioneer in the citrus industry and a primary innovator in the processing and the packaging of orange juice.  Owning thousands of acres which stretched over 9 Central Florida counties, Dr. Phillips eventually started to sell his property in bulk to Minute Maid in the 1950s.  The property that remained later was sold to developers who built Bay Hill, Orange Tree. Sand Lake Hills and Turkey Lake Park.
